In the second quarter of 2025, the health and fitness app category in Europe witnessed significant activity across both iOS and Android platforms. Here’s a look at the performance trends for the top five apps based on Sensor Tower data.
Strava: Run, Bike, Hike showed a robust increase in weekly revenue, starting from approximately $1.3M in early April and climbing steadily to about $1.9M by the end of June. Weekly downloads saw a peak mid-quarter at around 320K, while active users hovered around 14M to 15M throughout the period.
Mi Fitness (Xiaomi Wear) maintained a consistent download rate, averaging over 200K weekly. Although revenue figures remained negligible, the app's active users exhibited a slight fluctuation, closing the quarter with approximately 7.5M.
YAZIO: AI Calorie Tracker experienced some variability in downloads, peaking at 252K at the start of the quarter. Revenue peaked in early May at just over $1M, while active users consistently remained around the 4.5M mark.
Step Counter - Pedometer saw stable active user numbers, with a slight increase towards the end of the quarter, reaching nearly 4M. Downloads remained steady, averaging around 200K weekly, while revenue showed minor fluctuations.
Lastly, Flo Ovulation & Period Tracker maintained a strong presence with active users consistently over 21M. The app's revenue showed a positive trend, increasing from $657K in early April to approximately $741K by the end of June, with weekly downloads seeing a stable rise.
